Follow Through and Over Lapping Action

This computer animation is from Vancouver Film School by their artist May Guimaraes. This animation heavily relied on the follow through of the main character as he ran around his city, looking for anything to get rid of the smell of haring. During his adventures around town, his hair and clothing became the "main character" affected by follow through, as he was running, riding a bike and even going through a car wash, all of which causing his clothing and hair to be out of place and be affected by his frantic stopping and starting. Along with the man, the main "character" is the "smell" itself was shaped by the path of the man, adjusting its own course to follow him wherever he went, even as he changed his path multiple times. The people of the town all passed out from the smell followed by their hair, jewelry and dogs following shortly after them to the ground. Cars themselves often made quick second moves and jumps around the man in this animation, leading to a sudden change in direction or sudden stopping motion of the front of the car, shortly followed by the end following suit. As for the overlap aspect, the man's arms and legs overlapped as her continued to run around the town and especially when he went through the car wash and was spun around the rollers in the car wash.
